Masayuki Chatani

Ex-Head of Build by McKinsey & Company Japan, Chatani previously served as an Executive Officer at Rakuten, developing and operating interactive AI solutions across the entire group. From 2019 to 2022, he also served as the inaugural President and CEO of KPMG Ignition Tokyo, Inc., a digital group company of KPMG, and as CDO at KPMG Japan. One of the most prominent technology experts in Japan with over 500 patent applications and a number of best-selling books, Chatani served as the original CTO of Sony’s PlayStation, having overseen it grow from an early startup to one of Japan’s most successful tech victories of the Heisei era.
