Take staffing registration interviews 24/7

Registrants do not wait. Coordinators are not buried in interviews. The AI Interviewer handles the first registration interview, and evaluations are generated against one shared set of criteria.

Challenge

Registration interviews turn on timing, not volume

In staffing registration, the time between applying and the registration interview feeds straight into how many people register. Those looking for their next role while still working cannot find time on a weekday. Coordinators, meanwhile, work weekday hours.

  • A gap opens between application and interview, and another agency signs them first
  • Evening and weekend requests go unmet, and the people already in work are the ones lost
  • Criteria differ by branch, so the same background is rated differently by different coordinators
  • Interviews fill the diary, leaving coordinators no time for the work that leads to placements

Solution

Remove the limits on when you can take interviews, and align criteria across branches

The AI Interviewer runs 24/7 and handles interviews in parallel. Registrants come in from the URL they are sent or a QR code on your job page or a poster, hear the AI explain how registration and pay work, and take the interview whenever they like. Every branch uses the same questions and evaluation criteria, which keeps the spread between coordinators down.

  • No scheduling back-and-forth; the interview can happen the day they apply
  • Evening and weekend requests are met on the same terms
  • A score and its reasoning are recorded for each criterion
  • Coordinators can focus on the final decision and on matching

Frequently asked questions

Do registrants accept an AI interview?

Asked whether they would consider an AI interviewer rather than a person, 89% of candidates in their twenties said yes, with 84% in their thirties and 63% in their forties (our own 2024 research, 612 respondents). What they name is the absence of bias and harassment, and the fact that everyone is held to the same bar.

What information is the evaluation based on?

Evaluation is based on what the candidate says. Non-verbal signals such as facial expression, tone of voice and speaking pace are not used. This follows the direction set by the EU AI Act, the New York City ordinance and similar rules limiting emotion inference and non-verbal assessment.

Does the AI decide who is hired?

No. The AI can indicate a pass, but a rejection is decided by a person. The score is input to the decision; the coordinator makes it.

What about identity verification and the statement of working conditions?

A coordinator handles them separately from the AI interview. Proomi covers the first registration interview and the evaluation; procedures required under the Worker Dispatch Act stay with your own staff, as before.

Can we try it at only some branches or for some roles?

Yes. The routing decision, though — whether someone is interviewed by a person or sent to the AI — has to be made earlier in your hiring workflow.

Is the interview recorded?

Every interview is recorded and the audio is transcribed. Together with the score and reasoning for each criterion, it stays available in the admin console.

Can it connect to our existing systems?

CSV/Excel-based integration with an existing ATS is supported. API integration is also supported; please ask us what is available.

Can the evaluation criteria be tuned to our organisation?

Yes. It is not a system that learns by itself; you calibrate the evaluation criteria using your own past data. You can configure it yourself, or we can work alongside you.

Does the candidate need to prepare anything?

A browser is all they need. It works on desktop, smartphone and tablet, with no app to install.

How much does it cost?

Flex is bought per interview, with a 100-interview minimum. Around 100 is where enough data accumulates for the efficiency gains to show. For steady use there is Starter (240 interviews a year), and for high-volume hiring, Growth (500 a year). Interviews are counted as interviews actually taken; invitations that were not taken up are not counted. See pricing details
